The mission of the Religious Education Committee is to provide a high-quality religious education program for the children, youth and adults of our congregation, teaching and promoting Unitarian Universalist values and principles, and to assist them in finding their place in the universe and in experiencing a feeling of connectedness with all life.
We help participants:
- Build a true sense of themselves as lovable and capable human beings responsible for determining the quality and direction of their lives.
- Foster appreciation for the worth and rights of others, as they explore various spiritual paths.
- Clarify and articulate their personal beliefs and values.
- Gain an appreciation of the natural world and an understanding of their responsibilities to it.
- Develop their ability to meet life's challenges and to affirm their lives.
The committee works closely with the Religious Education Director.
